Overview

  • Health is the pulse of the new urban agenda / Health must be included in all policies
  • Urban health must be approached as a complex system comprising multiple interacting dimensions (natural, social, psychological) and scales
  • It must be apprehended in a dynamic way & role of history
  • With a science-society strong collaboration / participation
  • Strategies for disease prevention
  • Encourage place based policies in a multi-scale perspective

Objectives

  • Address urban health through complex multidisciplinary approaches
  • Use multidimensional and multiscale concepts, methods, and ecosystem frameworks
  • Mobilize and support all players directly or indirectly involved in urban health

Program

The MOOC Healthy Urban Systems is split into 3 parts.

Certification

Upon payment, a certificate of attendance could be delivered at the end of the course.

Accreditation (possible and not compulsory): 2 ECTS, issued by the University of Lausanne via COURSERA (US$ 25)
